Bureau of Customs (BOC)	Responsible for tariffs and custom laws
Bureau of Immigration (BOI)	Visa extensions for foreigners
Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)	Responsible for collection of taxes. You need to be registered with these people if you want to be in business
Commission on Filipinos Overseas	Filipinas emigrating to other countries need a stamp in their passport from these people before they can leave the Philippines
Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)	If you are planning to start a business
Land Transportation Office (LTO)	For driver's licence and motor vehicle registrations
National Bureau of investigation (NBI)	Based on the FBI in the USA. Filipinos need these people for their NBI clearance
National Statistics Office (NSO)	Registration of births deaths and marriages plus census figures. When it is working, you can obtain certificates on line with eCENSUS. The address is here: http://ecensus.com.ph/
Philippines Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC)	Protection for Bank deposits
Philippines National Police (PNP)	Police web site
Philippine Social Security System (SSS)	Social Security. Something expats need to know about for their employees.
